Chopard and Veschetti
Behind the scenes of the event Mille Miglia
Since 1988, Chopard has been the official timekeeper of “la corsa più bella del mondo” which annually stretches from Brescia to Rome and back. The Mille Miglia collection stems from the passion for classic cars nurtured by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, co-president of Chopard. Not only a collector but also active driver, he takes part in the race each year.
The new Mille Miglia 2017 Race Edition, issued in a limited series of 1.000 in steel, water-resistant up to 100 metres flaunts its imposing lines in a 44 mm-diameter case.
Its silver-toned dial as well as the font on the snailed counters, evoke a classic car dashboard, enhanced by the contrasting red accents of the Mille Miglia logo, the central sweep-seconds hand, and the chronograph hand.
Its short streamlined lugs embrace a black rubber strap with a 1960s Dunlop racing tyre-tread motif, secured by a steel folding clasp.
The 48 - power reserve, the COSC certificate and a case with a solid back engraved with the arrow Mille Miglia logo as well as the inscription “Mille Miglia 1927-2017”, complete this sporty, functional and sophisticated timekeeper.
A limited edition that embodies the classic racing spirit.
The new Mille Miglia chronograph 2017 Race Edition will be produced in a limited and numbered edition of 1.000 pieces worldwide only in steel version.
The watch will be available at the boutique Veschetti, official dealer Chopard for Brescia.
